2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 cup diced onion
2 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 can (28 oz.) Contadina® Crushed Tomatoes
1 can (15 oz.) Contadina® Tomato Sauce
1/4 cup thinly sliced or chopped fresh basil leaves


  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and oregano and cook 4 minutes or until onion is softened. Stir in vinegar and sugar and cook 1 minute.

  2. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce; bring to a simmer over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly. Stir in basil.
