Store extra tomato paste in the freezer to easily add a tomato flavor twist or enrich the overall flavor (umami) of a variety of dishes.
To freeze, spoon any remaining paste from can onto a piece of plastic wrap. Fold wrap over paste and lightly form into a log by rolling on a flat surface. Wrap plastic under log ends and freeze.
To use frozen paste, simply unwrap and slice off desired amount. Rewrap any remaining paste and return to freezer.

- Soups – chicken noodle, black bean, chili, lentil and more
- Meatloaf or meatballs
